Up for sale is a vintage fine petit point / tapestry evening handbag made by JB & Co. Vienna Handwork. Exquisitely worked, dense Viennese micro petit-point needlework featuring a multicolored floral bouquet (roses, lilies, forget-me-nots) set within an ornate scrolled rococo border against a deep black ground. The floral embroidery extends beautifully across both the front and back.  Chased brass top frame with an ornate scrolled filigree lift-clasp closure and attached woven brass chain strap. Fully lined in clean champagne satin silk with two interior sidewall slip pockets, complete with its original satin accessory sleeve. Very Good to Excellent vintage condition, embroidery remains remarkably vibrant and intact with no noticeable missing stitches, pulls, or threadbare spots. Frame and hinge line up flush; clasp snaps shut tightly, and the interior lining is clean with only faint, light age marks consistent with normal vintage storage.
