Camp Kilmer was a staging area for troops during World War II, located in New Jersey. It processed over 2.5 million soldiers before they were shipped overseas. The camp was named after Joyce Kilmer, a poet killed in action during World War I.

Camp Kilmer later served as a refugee center, housing Hungarian refugees in the 1950s and Cuban refugees in the 1960s. Today, the site is primarily used for industrial and commercial purposes, with little remaining of the original camp structures.
