Up for sale is an authentic, framed Cold War-era nuclear emergency instruction placard issued by the Treasury Department / United States Coast Guard (Form CG-3256, dated November 1951). Originally mandated to be posted on the bridge, engine room, and quarters of American merchant ships during the height of the early Nuclear Age. The header features bold typography reading "ATOMIC ATTACK INSTRUCTIONS FOR MERCHANT VESSELS IN PORT", followed by a detailed 13-point protocol regarding what to do before, during, and after an atomic attack.  Authentic vintage paper condition. Displays significant, attractive historical water staining, edge wear, and paper oxidation throughout that give it a true nautical, battle-ready patina.
