Original late-19th-century Victorian trade card advertising The People’s Clothier, issued as a complimentary card for T.J. Cooley, located at 34 Elm Street, Westfield, Massachusetts.
The card features a finely printed chromolithograph of a young girl in period dress, framed by daisies and soft pastel borders — a classic Victorian advertising aesthetic often associated with clothing, dry goods, and department retailers of the era. Printing quality and color saturation remain strong, with attractive detail in the illustration.
The reverse is blank, as issued, with a small period pencil notation (“HS5S”) in the upper corner. Card stock is firm and intact.
