US Department of State Foreign Service Institute 46th Senior Seminar Challenge Coin

Up for sale is a rare and prestigious official US Department of State challenge coin issued for the 46th Senior Seminar (2003–2004) at the Foreign Service Institute (FSI). The Senior Seminar was the highest-level executive leadership program conducted by the Department of State for senior diplomats, military officers, and intelligence executives, making coins from these small graduating cohorts exceptionally hard to find. The front of the coin displays the Foreign Service Institute seal with chevron, stars, and globe/lamp logo surrounded by "FOREIGN SERVICE INSTITUTE • U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE". The back of the coin features an engraved crest of an eagle holding a torch, bordered by "46TH SENIOR SEMINAR • 2003-2004". The coin itself is antique bronze-tone metal with fine blue and white enamel fill on the front seal. Excellent pre-owned condition with sharp detail, clean enamel, and light handling patina.
