Pierre Magnin served as the French Minister of Agriculture and Commerce from September 4, 1870 to February 18, 1871. Magnin was a French politician during the Second French Empire and the French Third Republic. He also served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies, National Assembly, and Senate of France, and as the governor of the Banque de France.
