Antique US Deputy Collector Internal Revenue Shield Badge IRS Treasury Revenue

Up for sale is an authentic late 19th / early 20th century federal law enforcement shield badge for a U.S. Deputy Collector of Internal Revenue (precursor to the modern IRS Agent). The front of the badge features deeply stamped lettering reading "U.S. DEPUTY COLLECTOR INTERNAL REVENUE" framed by scrollwork accents. The back sports a vertical brass pin attached via early solder plate with a traditional open C-catch receiver on the back. Authentic antique condition with dark age patina, surface toning, and light handling wear. The reverse shows original lead/solder work for the pin assembly.
