Beautiful late 19th-century French Catholic lace holy card, featuring a finely colored chromolithograph of a praying child before a cross with strong Eucharistic symbolism (wheat and grapes). The image is surrounded by an intricate die-cut lace (canivet) paper border, a hallmark of high-quality French devotional cards of the period.
Printed in France, likely circa 1880–1900. The reverse contains a French devotional text along with a handwritten inscription dated 4 Septembre 1945, reflecting later personal devotional use and adding to the card’s historical character.
Condition is very good for age, with light toning and wear consistent with over a century of life. Lace remains intact with no major losses. A wonderful example of antique Catholic ephemera—ideal for collectors of religious imagery, French paper antiques, or folk devotional art.
