Original late-19th-century illustrated advertising trade card for Estey Organ Works, Brattleboro, Vermont — one of America’s most important historic organ manufacturers.
The front features a richly colored chromolithograph of a Victorian woman playing a large pipe organ labeled “Estey Tonorium.” Musical scores and books are visible, including references to Bach, reinforcing the high-culture, church, and concert-hall associations Estey marketed so effectively during this period.
The reverse shows an engraved view of the Estey Organ Works factory complex, with printed text:
“ESTEY ORGAN WORKS, BRATTLEBORO, VT. ESTABLISHED 1846.”
Additionally, there is a period ink stamp reading “Compliments of M. L. Denton, Peterboro, N.Y.”, suggesting this card was distributed by a regional agent or dealer — a nice layer of provenance and authenticity.
