Original 1939 Album of the World’s Fair Pictures, published by George A. Krug & Co., Brooklyn, NY. Produced in advance of the 1939 New York World’s Fair, this vibrant booklet features the Trylon and Perisphere on the cover and contains spaces for 36 collectible picture cards distributed with Krug’s Weekly Bulletin. Includes several mounted color lithograph cards depicting the Fair’s iconic buildings such as the Theme Center, Hall of Communications, and Railroad Building.
A wonderful example of prewar American optimism and Art Deco design, promoting the Fair’s theme “Building the World of Tomorrow.” Printed in 1938 with clean, bright graphics throughout.
Condition:
Very good overall. Light shelf wear to covers, strong binding, several original cards mounted, interior pages clean. No writing or missing pages.
